In cooperation with the National Museum of Agriculture there are exhibited historical maps and plans of the Lednice-Valtice area, Třeboň, Hluboká and Český Krumlov. The archival materials under the generic title Garden of Europe – both printed and digital – are an example of historical mapping and individual phases of landscape development.
The technical drawings describe, for example, not only the variants of the Lednice castle, but also the Pohansko manor and other buildings. Most of the materials were digitized from the collections of the Moravian Regional Archives in Brno and the State Regional Archives in Trebon.
Particularly in the area of Lednice, Valtice and Břeclav, this is the most extensive mapping of maps, which for the first time is accessible to the public.
The exhibition is part of the touring circuit of the Castle Riding Halls in Lednice and is accessible until the end of April 2018 every day at 10-16 am.
The exhibition of the National Agricultural Museum, s. P., Is one of the many outputs of the Cultural Landscape project as a space for the social representation and relaxation of selected aristocratic families from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century (identification code DF13P01OVV001).
