Exhibition of Reconstruction of Riding Halls and Garden Landscapes

Reconstruction of Riding Halls – The first monument restoration is dedicated to the first exhibition. You can look into the technical drawings of the most interesting building elements and view the document that captures the most important parts of the entire reconstruction. All this in the entrance part of the exposition – the former coachhouse – where you can still see the carriage today. But ours is different – try to enter it and find yourself … Where we will not tell, but when you visit us, you can dream.

Landscape of gardens – The main exhibition is devoted to landscaping art. There are several animations on the spatial model of the landscape showing the development of the landscape of the Lednice-Valtice area – from the ice age and early settlement – to the present. In the exposures, many photographs, maps and models describe the influence of concrete elements of the world’s development on local landscape creation, especially by the Liechtenstein family. That is why you will see portraits of the most important ones. The fact that you are in the baroque stables will remind you, in addition to the marvelous original marble chutes, also a demonstration of horse standing and horse models that the prince bred. You will look at the development of the castle and park in Lednice – from a relatively small baroque villa with an Italian style garden with water features to today’s magnificent English park with lots of small buildings – salettes. You can visit many of us in case of bad weather “dry feet”, you can see even those already extinct and look at the model Minaret to see how it was probably built.
